Safe Sleep Practices

Are you making sure your child is safe while sleeping? SIDS is one of the main cause of infant death. In 2016 there were about 3600 Sudden unexpected infant deaths.

The three main cause of deaths:

> SIDS

> Unknown Cause

> Accidental Suffocation and Strangulation in bed

Tips to avoid suffocation:

> Infants 6 months and younger should sleep on their backs

> Lay infant in crib alone

> NO toys in crib

> Fitted sheet only in the crib

> May have a pacifier only in the crib
